The Fairfield Daily Ledger capitalized on buying local for the holiday season buy get local merchants to sponsor a Buy Fairfield section last week. The national Buy Local Week is November 29 - December 6th.
Congratulations to Radiance Farm and Dairy who have received the Spencer Award for Sustainability from the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University.

Just got my tickets for the Donovan/James McCartney/Laura Dawn concert on November 14th to support the David Lynch Foundation. Also, picked up tickets for one of my favorite local performers, Diana Upton-Hill. Her gala holiday concert is on December 5th. Both shows are the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield.
The outdoor farmers market season is over but their will be indoor markets at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center on Saturday, November 21th and Saturday, December 19th.
The Fairfield Entrepreneurs Association, Fairfield First!, Hometown Harvest of Southeast Iowa and Fairfield Volunteers Center held their annual banquet featuring all local food and entertainment at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Congratulations to the winners:

Stephen Covey will be giving a free lecture on Predictable Results in Un-Predictable Tiems and receiving a Maharishi Award on Friday, November 20th at 9:30 a.m. at the Sondheim Center in Fairfield. Admission is free.
