Mother & Daughter Painting Duo in the MUM Library Foyer by Rustin Larson

An exhibit of paintings by Caroline Larson and Kate Larson is now on display in the MUM Library Foyer, October-November, 2011.

Caroline Larson draws her inspiration from the Impressionists and has a variety of portraits, landscapes and master copies on display.  Subjects range from her travels to England to her family and favorite paintings by artists such as Pissarro and Cassatt.

Caroline's daughter, Kate Larson, offers paintings of fantastical vision and suggested narrative and myth from a realm just on the other side of shadow.  Katie is inbetween semesters working on her MFA in cartoon studies at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont.  A copy of her book, Grab Bag, is also displayed on the West wall near the entrance of the foyer.
