Benefit Concert for Veterans to Attend TTC

A benefit concert in support of U.S. veterans who wish to attend the Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course (TTC), will be held on Friday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sondheim Center.

Hosted by noted voice talent and comedian Jeffrey Hedquist, the show will include performances by Truckstop Souvenir, Werner Elmker on the newly installed organ, Steve Hillis on piano, Tim Britton, David Leffler, Bill Vesley and Timothy Laughrin, and classical selections featuring Emily Phippen, soprano, accompanied by Phil D’Agostino on piano. All performers are volunteering their time.

“The military has a unique way of thinking, talking, and telling time,” says Dr. David Leffler, a U.S. Air Force veteran who will play piano at the concert. “Veterans are well-suited to teach the TM technique to military-related personnel.” Tickets are available at www.FairfieldACC.com or the box office.
