Vendor gather outside the MainStay Inn for the Artisans Holiday Open House, December 3-4, 2011.The 15th Annual Artisans Holiday Open House is being held Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the MainStay Inn at 300 North Main Street in Fairfield. This event offers a unique opportunity to purchase gift items made by talented local artists and craftspeople. Items for sale include jewelry; herb-infused olive oils and vinegars, chocolate truffles; garden art birdhouses and avian-inspired pillows; functional pottery; tableboards and other wooden kitchen products. You'll also find flower-pressed greeting cards and art; silk, hemp, organic cotton, and wool gifts; hair accessories; natural body products, soaps, and salves; hand-dyed silk scarves; And there's more: fruit jams and herbal jellies; alpaca wool hats, gloves, and yarns. beeswax candles; raw honey; eco-friendly products; and many other surprises. In addition to shopping for gifts, you can complete your holiday decorating with beautiful evergreen wreaths sold by the Maharishi School Senior Girls in support of their senior class trip.
