The King of Kong:  A Fistful of Quarters
Okay, here’s the good one. The documentary of 2007, a hilarious and mesmerizing tale of war and games, The King of Kong chronicles the epicly smug Billy Mitchell, arguably the greatest arcade video-game player in the world, and the mild-mannered Steve Wiebe’s quest to best his Donkey Kong score. Funny and bizarre, but also a fearless investigation into obsession and revenge, The King of Kong is film of universal appeal. Plus, it prominently features Twin Galaxies’ creator and Fairfield’s own Walter Day, a focused and sage voice throughout the film. Highly recommended.
