Artist Statement

I paint as a way to share my experience of living as a physical, psychological and spiritual being.

Through my interpretation of the cosmetology of life and living I hope to bring thoughtfulness,

investigation and visual satisfaction to the viewer. My influences are a variety of painters and

sources ranging from Matisse, to the work of Expressionists such as Max Webber to Gerhart

Richter’s abstract works and Rothko’s color field paintings to some of the Modernist Japanese

painters and a special group of artists who concentrate on circles, including; Udo Noger and

Kenneth Nolan.
