Hop Down to the Farmington Strawberry Festival June 8–10

Strawberries are just the beginning this weekend in Farmington, Iowa.

Farmington may be one of the smallest towns in Van Buren County—and in Iowa—but each year on the second weekend of June they go big. And red. And juicy!

If you’re craving a sweet taste of summer, the annual Farmington Strawberry Festival takes place this weekend, June 8–10th. Activities, contests, music, meals, and great deals begin Friday evening and continue right on through Sunday.

Come a-runnin’! FREE strawberries and ice cream will be served on both Saturday and Sunday from 2–4 p.m., courtesy of the Farmington Arts Council. Find the strawberry and ice cream tent set up in the heart of downtown, right behind State Central Bank.

All weekend long, you’ll also find kids’ games, Bingo, cake walks, a car show, pet show, live entertainment, and more. Vendors of every kind will also be providing their services and selling handmade wares. Crafts, antiques, collectibles, games, and food booths are just a few of the enticements you will find lining the downtown streets.
