We have one of the creators of the musical, Justin Paul, here in Fairfield as Music Director and at the piano for all 5 performances. He and his co-writer Benj Pasek are young, talented writers who have already won awards and received critical acclaim for their work. It has been great to meet him and observe him at work. He is such a creative, charismatic individual. We are lucky to have him in Fairfield for this production, so please come see him in action!
I also can't say enough about the four talented performers who have traveled from New York to be here. Whitney Bashor is actually a native of Iowa (Bettendorf in the Quad Cities) and this production will mark her professional return to her home state! She is highly in demand in musical theater, in fact she had to take a later flight because she just wrapped another production and had a huge audition for yet another! She is beautiful, sweet and talented – you don't want to miss her performance in Edges!
I had a chance to peek in at a rehearsal, and wow, I was blown away by their talent – it truly filled the theatre!
