Indian Musicians in Concert at the Sondheim Aug. 16

Fresh from touring the famous music festivals of Europe, Ranajit Sengupta, sarode player extroardinaire and Indian and European film score composer from Calcutta, will perform with Fairfield's own David Hurlin on tabla, Sunday, August 16 2 p.m., Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Part of the new era of younger Indian classical musicians, Ranajit has been collaborating with jazz greats in Europe for years and has formed fusion bands to rave reviews.
Admission $10, students $5.

Farm To School Programs Starting in Area
Pathfinders RC&D was a recent recipient of a Wellmark Foundation grant to start six Farm To School programs in the area it serves.  The goal is to help schools incorporated more fresh, delicious locally grown foods in school lunch programs.  Schools will be contacted and asked to apply to participate in this special project.  For more information contact the Hometown Harvest Local Food Coordinator at 641-472-6177.
