Month of Premieres

It is a month of premieres in Follywood  starting with the David Lynch Foundation documentary, The Disposable Ones on Thursday, April 8 at 7:45 p.m at the Sondheim Center in Fairfield. It is directed by Stuart Tanner, famed BBC documentary filmmaker and current faculty member at Maharishi University of Management.  

 

The Disposable Ones is the story of how Father Gabriel Mejia started shelters for abandoned children in Medellin, Colombia. The shelters not only offer clothes, food and shelter, but instruction into the Transcendental Meditation program. An extended trailer is available at DLF.tv.

 

The premieres of Kora and Finding Fairfield, a benefit for Fairfield First! and the Fairfield Volunteer Center has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 1, 8:00 p.m. at Revelations, 112 North Main Street in Fairfield.

 

Kora documents the circumambulation of Mount Kailash,considered the holiest mountain on earth. 

 

Finding Fairfield is the real life stories of Lauryn Shafter, Dennis James, Troy Van Beek, Savannah Quinn, David Paterson, Arthur Lee Land and Carol Lee. Both movies are directed by me. For more information go to www.kora-movie.com

 

Award-winning Barn Quilt Debut

The 2008 Art on Barn awarding winning quilt design by Elaine Duncan was installed at the Flinspach farm on Hwy 1 just north of Cypress Villages on Hwy 1. Check it out in person or online at www.ArtonBarns.com

 

The Fairfield Superstar Singing Competition Finals are Saturday, April 17 at 8 p.m. at the Sondheim Center in Fairfield.

 

Spread the Love about HAIR – Presented by Way Off Broadway.

Opens on Friday, April 23 and runs through May 8 at the Sondheim Center in Fairfield. This is one of the few places you can see it outside of New York City.
