Seneca Foods is looking for organic growers to raise pumpkins this year.
Calling all organic growers: would you like to grow organic pumpkins this year? Hometown Harvest of Southeast Iowa is hosting a growers meeting at the Fairfield Public Library on Thursday, February 28, at 5 pm.
“We have been contacted to help Seneca Foods find farmers who might grow organic pumpkin this season,” says Jan Swinton. “Seneca Foods would like to talk to potential pumpkin producers about their new organic food processing in Princeton, IL. They will provide the seed in May and harvesting and trucking in September. They will pay by the pound.”
